It’s so critical to get ahead of the curve on this. Cellular towers are already coming down and we need to make sure that members are cared for without disruption. The medical alert community and their partners can’t afford to have a miss on this one.

Millions of seniors across the country rely on medical alert systems to age safely in their homes. A large percentage of these systems use cellular technology to communicate with the 24/7 emergency monitoring centers that respond when needed. Telecom providers are sunsetting their 3G networks and healthcare providers need a plan to ensure a smooth upgrade for members who rely on the service for their most critical moments. That is why LifeStation is pleased to announce the launch of “Forward LTE”, the only turnkey program for upgrading your member base from 3G to LTE.
LifeStation has leveraged their experience with healthcare partners, cellular providers and hardware manufacturers to create a partner playbook, dubbed “Forward LTE”. It’s designed to service any healthcare provider, whether they are a part of LifeStation’s existing partner network, or if they currently work with a different medical alert provider.
“It’s so critical to get ahead of the curve on this”, says Ryan Bateman, Manager, Healthcare and Hospitals at LifeStation. “Cellular towers are already coming down and we need to make sure that members are cared for without disruption. The medical alert community and their partners can’t afford to have a miss on this one.”
Forward LTE consists of three parts. Here’s how it works:
1. Product Selection – LifeStation determines the ideal equipment for each member by utilizing our proprietary Customer Technology Worksheet. Based on level of activity, fall risk, and geography (combined with coverage maps), we determine the ideal equipment for each member. LifeStation offers both in-home and mobile devices, with AT&T and Verizon coverage available.
2. Member Communication – We maximize your member adoption with our proven algorithm that combines targeted mailings, phone-based interactions, and digital touchpoints.
3. Measurement and Follow-up – A LifeStation account manager closely monitors the progress of your program and will coordinate with our Customer Care Team to ensure member satisfaction.
According to Mike Mednansky, Executive Director at Park Terrace Senior Living, “LifeStation delivered a great plan that addressed our specific needs and made this straightforward and easy. They customized it for our members and I have the confidence to tell my stakeholders that we’re on the right path.”
LifeStation is currently piloting Forward LTE with an initial group of healthcare providers. If your business would like to be included in the next round of implementations, please contact us at (844) 215-6883, or email partnercare@lifestation.com.
