CORE Higher Education Group Continues Expansion of Pharmacy Services with Appointment of Shannon Staton, Pharm.D, to Senior Director of Pharmacy Solutions


Shannon will play an integral role in the launch of a new CORE product aimed at supporting pharmacy schools and corporate pharmacy partners with their student recruitment efforts.

CORE Higher Education Group announced the promotion of Shannon Staton, Pharm.D, MBA, to Senior Director of Pharmacy Solutions for the EdTech company.

For the past 4 years, Shannon has served as the Director of Education and Clinical Programs at CORE, where she successfully led the development and launch of the READINESS eLearning product to the pharmacy and higher education markets.

In her new role, Shannon will be focused on building and strengthening CORE’s relationships with pharmacy schools and pharmacy employers as CORE continues to expand their portfolio of products across the pharmacy community. Shannon will play an integral role in the launch of a new CORE product aimed at supporting pharmacy schools and corporate pharmacy partners with their student recruitment efforts.

“I am excited to take on this new role at CORE as the Senior Director of Pharmacy Solutions. Over the past few years, I have learned to a deep extent about the needs of pharmacy schools from a digital preparedness, accreditation, assessment, and recruitment perspective. And as a PharmD, it is exciting to have the opportunity to strengthen CORE’s relationships in the pharmacy market,” shared Shannon.

Shannon also serves as a preceptor for six colleges of pharmacy, as a member of the Rhode Island Pharmacists Association (RIPA), is a diplomat for the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP), and serves on the New Bedford Opioid Task Force.
