Peace begins within each one of us.

In solidarity with the U.N. International Day of Peace on September 21, The Prem Rawat Foundation (TPRF) released a new video featuring diverse people coming together from across the globe to share a hopeful message that despite our challenges and differences, peace is possible.
The new video invites people to “be a voice for peace” and put the ideals of Peace Day into action by supporting initiatives like TPRF’s Peace Education Program.
The Peace Education Program is a workshop series that can make every day a peace day by helping participants discover their own inner strength and contentment. TPRF provides access to the workshop materials to organizations and volunteers free of charge, making the Peace Education Program readily available to people in more than 70 countries in over 30 languages.
The Peace Education Program’s goal to help people live more peaceful and fulfilling lives dovetails well with the purpose of Peace Day. Established by the United Nations in 1981, the annual occasion aims to bring all of humanity together to commit to peace above all differences.
Prem Rawat’s message in the new TPRF video emphasizes the point that, despite our differences, we are all united by our ability to be at peace with ourselves, and that personal peace is the strongest foundation for world peace.
Volunteers from a range of countries come together in the video to relay his message that, “We divide ourselves by economics; we divide ourselves by education; we divide ourselves by race; we divide ourselves by skin color; we divide ourselves by everything. But these differences mean absolutely nothing. The source of my light; the source of my clarity; the source of my understanding; the source of my peace is in me, regardless of circumstances. Peace begins within each one of us.”
A renowned author and speaker, Prem Rawat founded TPRF to address fundamental human needs and advance dignity, peace and prosperity. In addition to the Peace Education Program, the nonprofit offers the Food for People program, which has provided millions of nutritious meals, clean water, and educational opportunities to disadvantaged people in India, Nepal and Ghana.
TPRF has also been supporting numerous humanitarian efforts to provide food, medical care and other aid to help people cope with the COVID-19 pandemic.
