Thymoquinone has proven to be a significant ingredient on its own, but when combined with Beta-Caryophyllene, full spectrum hemp extract and menthol, it offers unique benefits allowing our consumers to take full advantage of the effect of the ingredients.

On a mission to educate consumers about the unique ingredients used in Labyrinthe Labs’ product formulations, the company announced another initiative to shed light on the ingredient, thymoquinone, in its Lefa topical soothing cream.

Thymoquinone, nigella sativa (black cumin seed oil), is an essential constituent amongst the top-ranked, evidence-based herbal medicines. Black cumin is also used for its anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant activities. A clinical trial in 2012 to study the effects of topically applying nigella sativa oil and acetaminophen for knee pain in elderly patients, determined nigella sativa oil is more effective in supporting pain than oral doses.

Lefa’s topical joint and muscle cream is formulated with thymoquinone, full spectrum of phytocannabinoids in hemp, including CBD, with the powerful cannabinoid BCP, menthol, Boswellia, Arnica and MSM. These pain support ingredients help with inflammation and soothe sore, stiff muscles and joints.

“The combination of our ingredients is what makes Lefa so unique,” said Tracy Meyer, Vice President of Operations and Marketing at Labyrinthe Labs. “Thymoquinone has proven to be a significant ingredient on its own, but when combined with Beta-Caryophyllene, full spectrum hemp extract and menthol, it offers unique benefits allowing our consumers to take full advantage of the effect of the ingredients.”

In its most recent Labyrinthe Labs education initiative, they discussed the benefits of Beta-Caryophyllene (BCP) and how it works.
