Willow Springs Recovery Promotes Hannah Sonderegger to Clinical Director

Nothing makes me happier than having the confidence in our team members to promote from within.

Sunshine Behavioral Health, a family of drug and alcohol rehab centers, congratulated Hannah Sonderegger for her promotion to the Clinical Director of Willow Springs Recovery, its addiction treatment program serving Austin Texas, and surrounding areas.

A therapist at Willow Springs since February 2019, Ms. Sonderegger’s new duties include managing the staff—”going from micro to macro”—and ensuring they have the resources they need to do their job and to “help them meet their own career goals.”

“It’s always great to see our team members develop and grow within the company, “ said Chad Daugherty, CEO of Sunshine Behavioral Health, praising Ms. Sonderegger’s rise from therapist to clinical director. “Nothing makes me happier than having the confidence in our team members to promote from within.”

Just before her promotion, Ms. Sonderegger collaborated with Clinical Lead Sheena Hann on developing new staff training programs and initiatives for Willow. She said her proudest achievement has been seeing Willow alumni—“great clients who have recovered”—come back for reunions having put into practice what they learned. “These victories are the best.”

Before earning her Master’s in Social Work from Texas State University in 2018, Ms. Sonderegger worked for several Texas foster care, adoption, and post-adoption agencies and services from 2014–2018.

Willow Springs Recovery, on 38 acres outside Austin in Bastrop, Texas, provides a lodge-like setting where clients can recover from their substance use disorder and related mental illness. Its amenities and activities mean there is no need to leave the grounds during early recovery. It is one of four unique treatment centers owned by Sunshine Behavioral Health.

Sunshine Behavioral Health is dedicated to providing the highest quality substance abuse treatment services with passion, integrity, and company spirit. Its mission is to inspire hope and bolster the health and well-being of the communities it serves through shared values and the continuous pursuit of improvement.
