Despite the effects of global economic downturn due to COVID-19, Acara Partners, a full-service consultancy and marketing agency dedicated to the aesthetic medical industry, is inspired to see continued growth in the aesthetic medical industry.

In June, a year-over-year study conducted by Acara Partners’ Aesthetic Business Institute and PatientNOW revealed that practices’ sales were up significantly when comparing June 2020 to June 2019.

Researchers took data from 378 practices across the country, comparing core and non-core practices. “Core” aesthetic practices are those owned by dermatologists or plastic surgeons, while “non-core” includes medspas or non-doctor owned aesthetic practices. The study found that sales are up from last year in a number of areas. Overall, core practice sales are up 3.97% and non-core sales increased by 7.95%. However, based on a set of specific procedures (injectables, non-invasive body contouring, laser skin rejuvenation, clinical skin care and retail products), the core increase is 7.47% and the non-core is up a stunning 30.9%.

Additionally, Acara Partners is thrilled to see industry expansion as three clients launch new practices and locations in August and September of 2020:

  • Sikara Medspa, Las Vegas, NV

Owned by Dr. Sameer Sheikh and Dr. Aisha Ali.

  • StarkMD Plastic Surgery & Aesthetic Center, Bryn Mawr, PA

Owned by Dr. Ran Stark

  • Iorio Plastic Surgery & Medspa, Holmdel, NJ

Practice’s third location at Bell Works

Owned by Dr. Louis Iorio

These practices offer a variety of surgical and non-surgical services, using a range of best-in-class aesthetic medical technologies to provide their clients with exceptional results. Acara Partners is excited to see their clients continue to grow despite the global economic setbacks faced earlier this year.
