“As a result of the global pandemic, we are seeing increased demand for both cleaning and disinfecting products,” said Ian McCormick, CEO of KIC. “Antony will be focused on supporting our European partners who are looking for ways to preserve equipment performance and user health.”

KIC, the leaders in technology cleaning, have appointed Antony Harris as head of European operations.

KIC technology cleaning products are designed to clear dirt, debris, oils, and other contaminants from transactional equipment such as ATMs, gas pumps, kiosks, self-checkouts, cash handling equipment, check scanners, printers and point-of-sale (POS) equipment. More than 50 device manufacturers, such as Diebold, NCR, Epson and Panini have approved cleaning tools and cleaning agents designed specifically for their application.

“I am thrilled to take on the challenge of continuing KIC’s growth in Europe,” said Harris. “Our top priority is partnering with European device manufacturers and working with major service organizations to demonstrate the benefits our products deliver.”

Harris brings over 19 years of experience within the payments industry, having formerly worked for CPI. He has a strong grasp of European and international markets. Harris will reside in Barcelona, Spain, and his background includes several years of business development in Brazil as well as key account management and sales leadership in Europe, focused on increasing operational efficiency, reducing shrinkage and improving hygiene standards for a better customer experience.

“As a result of the global pandemic, we are seeing increased demand for both cleaning and disinfecting products,” said Ian McCormick, CEO of KIC. “Antony will be focused on supporting our European partners who are looking for ways to preserve equipment performance and user health, while avoiding the damage to their devices that harsh chemicals can cause.”

Monitors, displays, touchscreens, keypads, and surrounding plastic and metal housings on most devices cannot be safely cleaned with the chemicals found in many industrial cleaning products. These products are designed for hard, non-porous surfaces and will cause damage to the equipment. Equipment displays will crack and craze over time, keypad legends will become illegible, plastics can discolor and even crack, and rubber seals will become compromised.

“These two cleaning challenges; internal cleaning for performance, and external cleaning to protect customers, staff, and company brand, are driving demand for KIC products globally,” said McCormick.
