Catylist, a leader in commercial real estate technology, reports the hire of Peter Schork as Chief Financial Officer to assist in furthering the company’s data-focused goals. Bringing more than thirty-five years of experience in financial services to the table, Schork will be joining the executive team and lending his immediate expertise in the release of new data sets.
Schork will be instrumental in assisting Catylist as they unveil appraisal-ready comps—sales comps that include the deed and true owner information—across all of their fully-researched markets. Appraisal-ready comps, which will give Catylist members a key data point to assist in property valuation and comprehensive comp reports, have been rolled out in the Denver market, and will soon be available to members across all researched markets. Schork’s unique background will lend essential insight into the release of these key reports, and help foster relationships with financial institutions seeking valuable commercial real estate data.
“I’m delighted to be joining Catylist as their Chief Financial Officer,” said Schork, “and I think my background in both financial services and commercial real estate will help the company maintain its upward trajectory, and unveil new opportunities for growth.”
Schork earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from the University of Michigan, and later received a master’s degree in Business Administration – Finance from Eastern Michigan University. While working toward his master’s degree, Peter served in advancing positions at KeyBank, handling everything from private banking and lending to branch management and mortgage lending. From 1998 to 2005, Schork served as Vice President and Manager of Mortgage and Consumer Services at the Bank of Ann Arbor with a focus on all aspects of real estate lending.
In 2005, Schork stepped in as Vice President of Edward Surovell Realtors, where he established a title company and a mortgage company while managing their operations and company revenue sources. Schork then co-founded Ann Arbor State Bank in 2008, where he served as President and CEO until early 2020. Peter is also an active board member for many nonprofits in the Ann Arbor area.
