July 27, 2020
The Aging Life Care Association® (ALCA), will be honoring founder and CEO of the Growing Bolder media corporation, and multiple Emmy Award-winning broadcaster, Marc Middleton at its Annual Business Meeting on July 31, 2020.
Middleton is the one of the leading voices in the growing movement that is Rebranding Aging®. He has created a multi-platform media brand to inspire, assist, and change the landscape of the 50+ population. ALCA is celebrating their own version of “bold” as we head in to the 35th Anniversary, a boldness never more evident during the COVID Pandemic.
The Distinguished Ambassador In Aging Award (DAAA) is given to an individual or organization that, through their actions, research, or invention has raised national awareness of a critical issue or need in aging and supports the mission and vision of the Aging Life Care Association. This is the second year the association is honoring an individual at its Annual Business Meeting.
“Marc was an obvious choice for us this year, our 35th Anniversary, as we looked at the fast-changing landscape of the aging industry and population. His Growing Bolder brand fits perfectly with our mantra for 2020 of #ALCAbettertogether. In fact, we have seen how we are not only better together, but bolder together, as we celebrate our association’s ground-breaking historical events and confidently look forward to the future,” stated ALCA CEO Taney Hamill.
Marc was one of the first to recognize the power and influence of the rapidly growing 50+ audience. Growing Bolder is one of the world’s largest libraries of active-lifestyle content, which includes TV, radio, magazines, and his best-selling books.
Growing Bolder CEO Marc Middleton stated, “I’m honored and grateful for this recognition. The Growing Bolder movement has always been focused on changing perceptions about what’s possible for all of us as we age. It’s about making the critical mind shift from focusing on loss and limitation to celebrating passion, purpose and possibility because the opportunity to experience love and joy never ends. It’s especially important for caregivers who are challenged in every way imaginable but are engaged in relationships that are enormously meaningful, inspiring, enriching, important – and often filled with moments of great joy and laughter.”
The Aging Life Care Association has led the way in the care management field nationwide with its nine regional chapters across the United States, national and regional conferences, many online webinar offerings, and an abundance of free resources for families on Aging Life Care and how an Aging Life Care Manager can help. Members of ALCA set the bar for Aging Life Care™ with their stringent education, extensive training and experience, and certification requirements. Required to adhere to a strict Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice, members are sought after by older adults and families who need assistance with caregiving issues. ALCA is proud to honor someone who also embodies the positive aspects of growing older and growing bolder.
