Women of Global Change Las Vegas Chapter: Feed a Hero Campaign

“We want these essential workers at Southern Nevada Health District to know that people care about them and appreciate what they’re doing”, said Crystal White.

To support those on the front-lines of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Las Vegas Chapter of the Women of Global Change (WGC), will be providing meals to the employees of Southern Nevada Health District. WGC Las Vegas will be feeding front-line workers from five different Coronavirus testing sites throughout Las Vegas on Wednesday, July 8th.

When asked why the Women of Global Change felt it was so important to support these workers, WGC Las Vegas President Crystal White said, “The real heroes in the fight against COVID-19 are the ones putting themselves in harm’s way to protect us, treat us and keep us safe. Some of those workers on the front lines are working long hours and taking huge risks by coming in contact with the most vulnerable communities. Being at risk every day is stressful on its own; figuring out when you’re going to fit in meals on top of that is a whole other challenge.”

The Women of Global Change Las Vegas Chapter is proud to provide lunch to front-line workers at Southern Nevada Health District. Lunches will be prepared by a local catering company “Diamond Events” as part of their “Feed A Hero” program for brave first responders who have been working tirelessly through the pandemic. These fresh, pre-packaged meals will be delivered with the utmost care to maintain proper social distancing and prevent further spread of COVID-19.

“We want these essential workers at Southern Nevada Health District to know that people care about them and appreciate what they’re doing”, said Crystal White. We know this is a small thing, but we hope it will help. The Las Vegas Chapter, as well as the entire Women of Global Change Organization, will continue to support first responders.
