Shady Grove Fertility (SGF) remains dedicated to their core mission of reaching and teaching the community about fertility health and options for overcoming infertility. In June, the practice will host six virtual fertility events, including two that celebrate LGBTQ Pride and Men’s Health Month. Each event concludes with a question and answer session where attendees have the opportunity to get their questions answered by the practice’s physician experts.
“As a practice we feel privileged to help members of the LGBTQ community achieve their goals of building a family. We are dedicated to educate couples about their family building options, and ultimately to help them begin their path to parenthood,” says Dr. Tomer Singer of SGF New York, who will host a LGBTQ Family Building Virtual Event on Tuesday, June 18 at noon. “Many of our treatment options for same-sex and transgender couples enable both partners to participate actively in the family building process,” adds Dr. Singer.
SGF offers a full range of services, from low tech to highly advanced, applying the latest in assisted reproductive technology (ART) to help individuals and couples achieve successful outcomes.
“Many people believe infertility is a female problem. The reality is, 40 to 50 percent of all infertility diagnosis are attributed to the male,” says Dr. Paul Shin, one of SGF’s in-house board certified reproductive urologists, who sees patients in SGF’s Washington, D.C., Frederick, MD, Rockville, MD, Fair Oaks, VA, and Fairfax, VA, offices.
“For my male patients, I remind them that if there are any existing conditions that could be affecting their ability to conceive, such as low testosterone, erectile dysfunction (ED), or problems ejaculating, it’s time to see a specialist,” advises Dr. Shin, who will host a Male Fertility Virtual Event on Thursday, June 25 at noon, as well as an Instagram Live Q&A on Friday, June 19 at 11:30am.
During the webinar, Dr. Shin will discuss how easy it is to test for male factor infertility, common causes for this diagnosis, ways to adjust lifestyle to improve fertility, and the treatment options available at SGF.
While SGF virtual events are complimentary, interested parties must register to attend by visiting the SGF calendar of events.
