Social Health Registry (SHR), a woman-owned small business and self-reporting platform for COVID-19 test results, announced today the launch of its initiative to help people take action, get tested, and essentially, transition out of quarantine. As a first-of-its-kind web application, SHR provides tools to help socially responsible individuals take part in the COVID-19 response.
By visiting socialhealthregistry.org, users can sign up for a profile, upload their negative COVID-19 results, and share their status on-demand from a desktop, mobile device, or tablet. In addition, the platform allows users to pre-screen their symptoms and get referred to the appropriate resources, as well as report any unsafe working conditions.
“The mission for Social Health Registry is to help society transition back to life with a way to self-report and share the date of their most recent COVID-19 test, and eventually, anti-body test,” says Oksana Wright, Co-Founder and CEO at Social Health Registry. “The quickest way to do so is to streamline the ability to scale testing combined with data transparency to the public. As state and local agencies continue to select disparate tech solutions across state lines, SHR positions its offering as the final mile and fastest path to providing an accepted standard to present your COVID-19 status to your employer, gyms, events, schools, and more.”
SHR first made its debut at the 2018 Startup Grind Global Conference, where the company was recognized as one of the Top 20 startups among 130 accepted to present. Formerly known for its self-reporting platform helping to combat STD/STI transmission in the modern online dating world, SHR’s mission is founded upon the belief that when it comes to transmittable diseases, it is each individual’s responsibility to ensure that he or she is sure (‘SHR’) of their status.
“At SHR, we believe in fair competition and innovation, but also see the prevalence of Big Tech firms along with their lobbyists at the Governors’ doors if we follow the CARES ACT funding. One thing becoming increasingly clear is the faltering political discourse around COVID and the concern for infringement on individual rights,” said Carl Wright, Co-Founder at Social Health Registry. “SHR offers an alternative approach to solutions that are perceived as ‘overreaching’ by allowing users to take control of their own data. It is our belief that people want to do their part and play a role in the solution, so we built an outlet for them to do so.”
