Monterey County Distillery, Doc Pepe’s Lab, Releases Premium Hand Sanitizer

“In an effort to help our first responders stay healthy and safe during the pandemic, we immediately diverted all efforts from our ready-to-drink cocktails to the production of the craft hand sanitizer,” said Christian Pepe, Doc Pepe’s Lab Founder & Chief Cocktail Architect.

As the COVID-19 pandemic surged, founder of Monterey’s only distillery, Christian Pepe, answered the call for distilleries across the country to supply hand sanitizer. Doc Pepe’s Lab, a spirit-driven, premium ready-to-drink cocktail lab in Monterey County, developed a craft hand sanitizer in response to the pandemic. The sanitizer was originally created to help first responders replenish their depleted supply during the health crisis. Now, Doc Pepe’s Lab will be selling both its 4 oz. and 16 oz. bottles from Whole Foods locations across Northern California.

“Since that time, we’ve seen a need to help community members obtain hand sanitizer. Because of this, we partnered with Whole Foods to supply its Northern California stores with premium hand sanitizer for consumer use.”

The artisanal product is sold in an eco-friendly glass bottle, and effectively kills germs while leaving the skin feeling smooth and soft. Made with the highest quality ingredients, the hand-sanitizer features a base of 80-percent high-strength alcohol, which is the maximum allowable strength, and an infusion of aloe vera, lavender and tea tree oils. The combination of essential oils will leave the skin feeling and smelling great, while the lavender nourishes the skin and the tea tree contains anti-microbial properties to keep skin protected.

Whole Foods will be selling the 4 oz. bottle for $7.99 and the 16 oz. bottle for $19.99 while supplies last. For more information, please visit DocPepesLab.com.
