Time tracking and scheduling software Buddy Punch is offering customers a contactless QR Code punch option to promote employee safety during Covid-19 at no extra cost.
The feature allows employees to punch in or out without having to touch or interact with the device being used by simply scanning their own personal QR Code. This option significantly reduces the potential of Coronavirus community spread, while allowing your employees to quickly and accurately record their time worked. For added security, the feature allows an image to be captured when an employee punches in or out to ensure that the user is only punching time for themselves.

In addition to the contactless QR Code feature, Buddy Punch is currently developing a new availability feature to help employers stay up to date on changing availability for their employees. When the new availability feature is available, which Buddy Punch anticipates releasing the feature in the second quarter of 2020, employees can access their accounts and quickly update their availability when needed. They can specify their preferred working time or times when they are unavailable days, weeks, months, and even years in advance. Management will have real-time insight into who is available and when – allowing them to create schedules more effectively.

The feature allows management to quickly punch in or out specific individuals or a group of users all at one time. With our group punch option, that concern is eliminated as one individual can now punch time for multiple users at once.
