“Health organizations have been overwhelmed by the need for COVID-19 testing and have struggled with this unprecedented surge of appointment requests and traffic,” said Matt Fairhust, founder and CEO of Skedulo.

Skedulo, a leader in deskless productivity software, today announced the availability of a free managed package for health agencies working to combat COVID-19. The offering is available on Salesforce AppExchange, the world’s leading enterprise cloud marketplace, to help healthcare organizations efficiently manage requests, appointment schedules and testing sites. It will be available for free now through the end of summer.
The newly released booking and appointment management system helps balance appointment demand with capacity and was developed directly for testing sites that have already gone live with the solution. Its capabilities include:
- Scheduling patient testing appointments, alerting an individual of nearby locations based on site capacity
- Controlling and triaging patient queues, overbooking and arrival times
- Providing insights into location capacity, demand and wait times, improving staffing and logistics
- Automating appointment detail messages, including instructions, times and what to expect upon arrival
- Simplifying check-ins and keeping both workers and patients safe with no-contact patient check-in, via QR code
“Health organizations have been overwhelmed by the need for COVID-19 testing and have struggled with this unprecedented surge of appointment requests and traffic,” said Matt Fairhust, founder and CEO of Skedulo. “As a leader in scheduling and organization, we saw this as an opportunity where we could lend our expertise and technology to assist in battling the pandemic. As a result, we’re offering this scheduling queue capability free of charge for organizations and government institutions.”
COVID-19 testing sites are susceptible to long wait times and disorganization due to the sheer number of people needing to be tested. Skedulo’s managed package can reduce the administrative burden placed on hospitals, government entities, biomedical organizations and lab and diagnostics groups that are working test sites at this critical time. It can free up resources to focus on what really matters, the health of their patients and staff.

“We are proud to see Skedulo innovating to support customers and enable healthcare organizations to streamline COVID-19 testing through their app,” said Woodson Martin, GM of Salesforce AppExchange. “It’s inspiring to see our partners innovating rapidly to help customers through this challenging time.”
