nView Health Delivers Advanced Behavioral Health Screening Functionality

nView digital assessment solutions allow doctors to screen and interview patients remotely.

nView Health, a provider of innovative software solutions that help identify, diagnose, and monitor patients with behavioral health conditions, announced today the general availability of its latest release, which includes capabilities that allow healthcare providers to automatically track and monitor patient progress over time and gives healthcare providers greater flexibility.

This new version, v1.9.1, closely follows another major release that the company issued in February, which included the addition of the Yale-Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale (Y-BOCS) interview and the Children Yale-Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale (CY-BOCS). These give the clinicians the ability to add notes and information within each interview for greater clarity and enhanced security to meet HITRUST password standards.

“The demand for access to mental health professionals has never been greater than today. And at nView, we’re deploying new solutions that help healthcare providers remotely diagnose and monitor patients more accurately and efficiently so they can help more patients,” said Jim Szyperski, CEO of nView Health. “nView digital assessment solutions allows doctors to screen and interview their patients remotely in advance of their consultation. And since our solutions screen for virtually all major psychiatric disorders in one solution, doctors have a more complete and accurate picture of patients right from the start.”

New Features Added

  • nView Monitors: Ideal for health systems and behavioral health practices that are operating within value-based care networks. The new nView Monitors help capture patient-reported data at physician-defined intervals automatically so they can proactively monitor and report on outcomes. The Monitors include, but are not limited to, Major Depressive Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, Substance Abuse Disorder, PTSD, OCD, ADHD (Adult), and several eating disorders.
  • Customizable Landing Pages: Healthcare providers can easily customize web pages within the survey tools that clinicians and patients see before and after completing online assessments. This allows providers to include their own branding and messaging to inform and guide patients throughout the process.
  • Administrator Flexibility: The pediatric version of the online structured diagnostic interview, the MINI-KID, can now be edited within 24 hours of completion, as young patients sometimes rethink their answers, allowing physicians to make the changes. In addition, a new Report History capability documents all versions of the interview, so any changes are auditable.
  • Among several other features, the company is also deploying new online video-based user training guides to support administrators and users of the system.

A Proven Track Record

nView Health has spent years building and deploying digital mental health assessment solutions, including its flagship product, the digital Mini-International Neuropsychiatric Interview (M.I.N.I.), that is based on the world’s most widely validated assessment, and cited in more than 17,000 clinical studies and trials. With responsive algorithms that drive the presentation of only the most relevant questions based on patient’s answers, the digital M.I.N.I. takes an average of less than 20 minutes to complete, compared to the 45-60 minutes required by many other structured psychiatric interviews. This short, structured diagnostic interview evaluates common DSM-5 and ICD-10 psychiatric disorders.
