Thermaxx manufactures and donates disposable gowns to first responders.

“Thermaxx will not be able to solve the shortage, but we are doing everything we can to make an impact,” said Campana.

Thermaxx Jackets has temporarily converted our production lines to make disposable gowns, instead of insulation. Thermaxx announced over 80 organizations including hospitals, fire departments, ambulance services, and doctor offices have requested over 4,000 disposable gowns in the first 4 days of our design. Last week, Thermaxx began to manufacture and donate disposable gowns to assist first responders in the fight against COVID-19. ThermaXX worked with the First Responders to prioritize their inventory crisis and was able to supply 14 teams with these critical isolation gowns on Day 1 of full production.

“I am amazed at the talents of our team as we came together to send disposable gowns during this shortage,” says Larry Campana, CFO & EVP at Thermaxx Jackets. “From the incredibly high number of requests, we can see that there is a significant need for supplies locally and nationally.”

Within the last week, Thermaxx has accomplished:

  • Thermaxx designed and tested gowns that could be made quickly with readily available materials.
  • We converted our insulation factory to fabricate and donate gowns.
  • The first 14 organizations picked up gowns in West Haven, CT on Monday.
  • Our team members are working hard to meet the increasing demand. We have also shared our design with other companies.
  • Today, we released a guide for individuals to cut a pattern and sew a gown for first responders.

“Thermaxx will not be able to solve the shortage, but we are doing everything we can to make an impact,” said Campana.
