During a time of global distress and concern about the impact of COVID-19, T1 Payments, a leader in high-risk merchant processing, is donating to the UNITE HERE Education and Support Fund in an effort to assist hospitality workers whose jobs have been compromised due to the coronavirus pandemic.

UNITE HERE represents 300,000 working people in the food service, hotel and other major industries across the United States and Canada. As working families continue to face layoffs and uncertainty during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the team at T1 Payments hopes to assist hospitality workers’ through these partners to assist with food, rent, utilities, and wages lost due to reduced hours and tips.

With many casinos, hotels, bars, and restaurant dining rooms shutting down on the Las Vegas Strip, the state is forecasting a financial hit, leading to layoffs for thousands of hospitality workers.

Las Vegas workers are especially being impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak. For some of these hospitality workers, not only is this their only income, but many also depend on the Culinary Health Insurance. Working less hours is affecting their health insurance coverage.
