An Update Regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19) and MatzaFun Tours 19th Annual Passover.

There is no higher priority to our entire Matzafun Tours Family than the Safety of our Guests and Employees. We are dedicated to following the protocols of medical professionals, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and the New Jersey Department of Health to stay on top of this situation as we execute our 19TH “Sold Out” Passover 2020 event at Ocean Place Resort & Spa in Long Branch New Jersey. EPA approved, hospital-grade disinfectant is used in the kitchen, lavatories, sleeping rooms, and public spaces. Additional cleaning and disinfecting is being done throughout the hotel on a regular basis. We are providing disinfectant wipes, alcohol wipes and Purell stations that are easily available to our guests and employees throughout public areas.

All of our food service personnel culinary as well as waiter staff are equipped with gloves during food preparation and service times. All guests prior to entering dinning and tea room will be required to sanitize their hands with Purell. Matzafun personnel will be available to monitor this.

As in past years we have once again hired our own security personnel to monitor outside guests and advise that the hotel is closed for a private function and is available only to our guests.

According to the most recent information from the CDC, for most people, the immediate risk of being exposed to the virus that causes COVID-19 is thought to be low.

Rest assured, we are monitoring this developing situation closely, staying in regular contact with medical professional, health organizations, and other experts. We also ask our guests to keep in mind the guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control to minimize your risk before, during and after your stay at the hotel:

We would like to share the recommended guidelines from the Center for Disease Control(CDC)

Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth.

Stay in your room if you become sick.

Cover your cough sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.

Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using regular household cleaning spray or wipes which we have available onsite. Especially cell phones.

Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 second, especially after using the bathroom; before eating; after being in a public place and touching surfaces in common areas, and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.

If soap and water are not readily available use alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol, but always wash hand with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty.(CDC 2020)

To lower this risk even further, the CDC recommends the following:

To the extent possible, avoid touching high-touch services in public places-elevator buttons, door handles, handrails, handshaking with people, etc. Use tissue or your sleeve to cover your hand or finger if you must touch something or wash your hand or use sanitizer which will be stationed throughout the hotel afterwards.

Replace handshakes with foot taps or elbow bumps.

Avoid crowding together in limited ventilated spaces. Spread out take advantage of the outdoor spaces as weather permits including our beautiful patios gorgeous beach and boardwalk.

If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms we respectfully ask, that you contact a medical professional to get the appropriate medical care and attention prior to arriving at the hotel this Passover.
