When International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (iaedp™) officially opens its 2020 Symposium on March 26 at the Omni at ChampionsGate in Orlando, it will begin as it has for the past 34 years with the traditional Presentation of the Colors featuring flags representing leadership of iaedp™ US Chapters and the International Chapter along with other professionals who travel from all parts of the globe each year to advance learning, share groundbreaking information and engage with the world’s most renowned and committed eating disorders professionals.
2020 marks a milestone that acknowledges and congratulates the commitment of the impressive iaedp™ International Chapter Chairs lineup, led by its President, Dra. Rosanna Mauro de Maya, MS, CEDRD-S of Costa Rica. The leadership in attendance this year represents seven of our eight countries/regions around the world including:

“This year’s “A Vision of Hope” theme truly reflects our international initiative inspired by the dedication and innovation of our International Chapter Chairs along with this year’s largest global attendance which will be displayed prominently during our Symposium Opening Flag Procession,” says Blanche Williams, MS, Director of International Development at iaedp™.
“Our presenters and presentations reflect our professional consideration and inclusion of our global eating disorders family, including a large number from Spanish speaking countries, who attend our renowned track of presentations in Spanish,” continues Williams.
In fact, this year’s Symposium features seven sessions presented in Spanish only, addressing the latest in eating disorder treatment, causes and science – much like the other nearly 70 other sessions that are in English. The 35th annual iaedp™ Symposium will take place over four days, March 26 – 29, and will feature presentations, workshops and various special events. Pre-symposium activity kicks-off on Wednesday, March 25, with the return of the popular core courses for certification.
The Symposium’s opening day on Thursday, March 26 features the conclusion of the core courses and the grand opening lunch – prior to start-up of the presentations that continue through Sunday, March 29.
