Chad Tracey and Joshua Markland, co-Founders of 2nd Family, an in-home care and assistance provider for seniors, announced today that they’ve recently awarded a new franchise to Mr. Craig Bevington of Dallas, Texas. The new location will be called 2nd Family of North Dallas and is scheduled to open in December.

This will be the third location for 2nd Family, having offices currently operating in both Baltimore, Maryland and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. While the physical address of the office has not been finalized, 2nd Family of North Dallas will serve residents of Plano, Garland, Richardson and the surround areas. Hiring and training of new staff will begin later this year. The North Dallas location will be the first for 2nd Family in the state of Texas.

2nd Family was founded in 2012 by cousins Chad Tracey and Joshua Markland in memory of their grandmother’s 10-year struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. The mission was simple: improve the care process to help families keep their loved ones at home. Using a unique combination of the latest technology coupled with a specific process for delivering the highest quality care, 2nd Family has helped hundreds of families in central Maryland to enable their loved ones to age in place.

“Most people prefer to stay at home and age in place,” explains Chad Tracey. “It’s our mission to help them do so. I have a picture of my grandparents hanging right outside of my office. Every day when I see that picture, it reminds me of why I work so hard.”

Though 2020 has been a difficult year for many, arguably no one has been impacted more than our country’s seniors. This is one of the many reasons that the demand for senior home care services has continued to increase over the last several years. To meet the increasing demand, 2nd Family has turned to franchising as a means of providing more care to more seniors. One of the Inc. 5000 fastest growing companies in America in 2019, 2nd Family is currently looking to continue expansion through franchising in Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, and the Washington, D.C. metro area.
