Essayists relate the true state of affairs out there in the clinical world. Equally important is being able to digest the aspirations and desires of so many hopeful and motivated individuals who really want to make a difference for the only people that matter—the patients.

PAINWeek, convening September 8-12, the largest US pain conference and the favorite destination for frontline practitioners to enhance their competence in pain management, invites submissions to its annual essay contest. Ten winners will attend PAINWeek for FREE, and the Grand Prize winner will also receive 5 nights at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas! Just compose a compelling essay explaining why PAINWeek would be beneficial for your professional area of focus.
PAINWeek senior faculty member and scholarship chair, Kevin L. Zacharoff, MD, FACIP, FACPE, FAAP, commented, “When it comes to the PAINWeek Scholarship Essay Program, nothing beats ‘real life.’ What really is happening on the frontline of clinical practice and training? Essayists relate the true state of affairs in the clinical world. Equally important: hearing the aspirations and desires of so many hopeful and motivated individuals who really want to make a difference for the only people that matter—the patients.” Dr. Zacharoff will also be presenting at PAINWeek 2020. He continued, “So many of us realize that education is critical to providing the best pain care available, and the people who write these essays are most often trying to fill gaps in their knowledge and help make them better clinicians.”
All essays must be received by midnight EST on Sunday, May 31, 2020. Click here for details on the submission process. Scholarship winners will be notified via email and/or phone no later than June 19, 2020. Winners must respond by July 31, 2020. To read the 2019 scholarship winning essay, click here.
