Looking beyond the obvious to see the hidden value in society – to establish and maintain a changed focus for recognition and reward.

Shining the light on key workers: EMC3’s New Boxes for Bravery initiative recognises unsung frontline workers across the country

Boxes for Bravery (BFB) has teamed up with brands like Four Seasons Hotel and Resorts, Hilton, Mandarin Oriental, Candy Kittens and 111SKIN to create unique luxury reward boxes which will be distributed to nominated workers, as selected at random each month.

The campaign has already garnered celebrity support.

Every month, they will be sending out boxes full of surprises to key workers across the country.

But they need your help to spread the word!

Please nominate a friend, neighbour or family member who is working on the frontline and they will be in with a chance of receiving a luxury box full of treats: http://www.boxesforbravery.com

The boxes will contain a variety of gifts including luxury skin products, hotel vouchers, hair and makeover vouchers, delicious snacks, restaurant vouchers and much more!

Don’t forget to tell your network about this campaign on social media using the hashtag #boxesforbravery

Essentially the public can nominate a key worker in their region through the Boxes for Bravery website:  http://www.boxesforbravery.com and the name will enter the corresponding month’s lottery for that region. Whilst the scheme currently looks to reward 10 winners per region with one of the boxes, the intention is to expand beyond that number and recognise even more nominees, as the support widens. It is envisaged that local businesses will have the opportunity to support the regional nominees and winners.

A snapshot of nominations:

“She has shown dedication and commitment to the students, offering them some much needed stability during these unprecedented times”

“This crisis has shown an extra strength in her that I didn’t know was possible”

The initiative is the collaborative venture of emc3’s furloughed employees. When the global pandemic struck, the live events industry faced a huge hit causing many employees at emc3 to be placed on furlough. Despite the challenges and uncertainty of the crisis for the company and employees alike, in true emc3 spirit – with vibrancy, kindness and unity – these employees were empowered to recognise the tremendous efforts of the country’s key workers and that’s when Boxes for Bravery was born.

Ali Graham, a co-founder of emc3 explained, “We see this as a chance to recognise those workers that may have become invisible.  From the refuse collectors to the bus drivers, the supermarket staff and the truck drivers, this crisis has helped us see what is really important in our lives.  We hope that Boxes for Bravery will grow and that our new caring perspective will remain with us beyond the current situation.”

The initiative’s mission echoes Ali’s reflections: “Looking beyond the obvious to see the hidden value in society – to establish and maintain a changed focus for recognition and reward.”

Additionally, Boxes for Bravery is looking for a number of regional sponsors to join the existing national sponsors. Interested parties can contact the organisation via the contact details below or through the website, where they can also find out more information on the initiative.
